This weekend was the coldest it has been so far this Fall and it got me and my kids in the mood for Fall! We decided to make homemade doughnuts!! This past summer I was able to find a mini doughnut maker for $3.00 at a yard sale so we decided to try it out and see if we could make some doughnuts.
This recipe is so simple that anyone could make it. All you need are two simple ingredients: Chocolate Cake Mix and Canned Pumpkin. We used Bakers Corner Brand 100% All Natural Pumpkin (from Aldi) and Pillsbury Purely Simple Chocolate Cake mix. ( I had a coupon for this a couple weeks ago and decided to try it out because it doesn’t have nearly as many horrible additives as some other cake mixes).
Simple Chocolate Pumpkin Doughnuts
- 1 box Pillsbury Purely Simple Chocolate Cake Mix ((Or your choice of Chocolate Cake Mix))
- 1 can Pumpkin (I used Bakers Corner Brand All Natural Pumpkin)
Mix your Cake Mix and the Can of Pumpkin in a large bowl until mixed together well
Turn on your Doughnut Maker and add a spoonful of pumpkin mix into each doughnut hole
Close Doughnut Maker and wait about 3-5 minutes until they are done!
I was super excited how these doughnuts turned out!
