Baked Parmesan Garlic Chicken Strips

My kids love chicken nuggets and chicken strips but after reading the packages of the frozen store bought kinds that I had been buying in the store I was shocked at how many *added* ingredients they put in them!  I couldn’t give my children these to eat anymore but I also didn’t want to keep them from having one of their favorite foods.  So I did some experimenting until I came up with this recipe that my kids tried and ended up actually loving!

I felt a lot better knowing that I knew what was in my children’s chicken strips and they were all ingredients that were not processed.  I found out that when you make foods from scratch they also taste sooo much better then the frozen version of it.  The only downside is that it takes a couple minutes longer to make these because you do have to batter the chicken strips yourself rather than be able to pull them out of the bag already done.  But for me this trade off is very worth it!
Baked Parmesan Garlic Chicken Strips

I chose to bake my chicken strips because I believe it is healthier than frying but you can also fry these in olive oil or your preference of oil to make them tasty too!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken Strips

Baked Parmesan Garlic Chicken Strips

Serves 4

  • 1lb Chicken Tenderloin
  • 2 Medium Eggs (We use from our own chickens)
  • 1 1/2 cup Plain Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Herb Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese


Step 1
You need to have two bowls that are big enough to place your chicken strip in. In the first bowl crack your two eggs and scramble it up and then place aside. In the second bowl you need to mix your bread crumbs, garlic seasoning, and parmesan cheese until blended.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Step 3
Take one chicken tenderloin and place in the first bowl with the eggs and make sure that chicken is coated then place the same piece of chicken into the bread mixture bowl and make sure is coated also. Then place that piece of chicken into a baking pan and repeat until all your chicken is coated.
Step 4
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked thoroughly
